Azharuddin tweets to support Virat Kohli, asks fans to ‘let him play with no speculations’

The former cricketer asked people not to use the term ‘out of form’ and let Kohli and the team play without any speculations in his head.

New Delhi: When the stage is set to perform in the India-Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup 2022, all eyes are on Virat Kohli. While everyone is commenting about his form and cricketers are coming to support him, India’s former captain Mohammed Azharuddin dropped a tweet. The tweet did not mention a name, but it was clear that it was directed toward Kohli.

Azharuddin wrote, “‘Out of form’ a phrase that puts unprecedented amount of pressure on a player. Let them just go ahead and play with no speculations. #AsiaCup2022.” The former cricketer asked people not to use the term ‘out of form’ and let Kohli and the team play without any speculations in his head. Being a cricketer who has gone through great pressure both on and off the field, Azharuddin surely understands the situation when people are talking about you.

It was a nice gesture by the cricketer, who came out to support his countryman. With people talking of Kohli being ‘out of form’ and asking to drop him from the team, many current and former cricketers from all around the world have made statements in support of the Indian batter.

Meanwhile, in an interview Kohli opened up about the issue and said that he does not feel the pressure as he is doing everything right on the field, for him, it is not like the England tour where he failed due to his poor technique.
