
New Delhi: Australia’s Big Bash League, season 13, has its first elimination of the season as Melbourne Renegades lost their sixth match of the season.
Brisbane Heat, Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers are favourites to finish in top 3, as Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes are in the race for the fourth place.
In match number 26, of the season, Hobart Hurricanes took on the struggling Melbourne Renegades at the Docklands Stadium in Melbourne.
Hobart Hurricanes skipper Nathan Ellis won the toss and invited the Renegades to bat first.
Renegades were in deep trouble when they were three down on just 50 runs at the ten overs mark.

Jordan Cox (47) and Jonathan Wells (38), then played important innings to take the Renegades innings to 147 for 4 in 20 overs mark.

Tim David, Riley Meredith, Nathan Ellis and Nikhil Chaudhary all took one wicket each for the Hurricanes.

In reply, Hurricanes were also in trouble as they lost their three wickets under 50 runs mark, but Sam Hain (51) and Corey Anderson (41*), stitched a match winning partnership to take the Hurricanes over the line with six wickets and eight balls to spare.
