New Delhi: Australia’s Big Bash League, season 13, league stage is all done and dusted, except for the one dead rubber clash between Sydney Thunders and Melbourne Renegades on Wednesday.
All the four semi-finalists for the season have been revealed, with Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers set to lock horns in the first qualifier, while Perth Scorchers and Adelaide strikers set to go toe-to-toe in the eliminators.
In the second last match of the league stage competition, Sydney Sixers took on the Perth Scorchers at Perth Stadium, with the place for the qualifier one up for grabs.
Scorchers skipper Aaron Hardie won the toss and opted to bat first.
Scorchers had a bumpy start as they lost their openers cheaply, but Laurie Evans (72), first with skipper Aaron Hardie (32), and then with Cooper Connolly (37*), stitched two great partnerships to take the final score to a respectable 197 for 4 in 20 overs.

However, it was skipper Moises Henriques (47*), who, with his blistering innings, took the Sixers over the line despite the late jitters on the final ball of the innings with three wickets to spare.
