BK v ICAP Legends League Cricket: Mitchell Johnson shoves Yusuf Pathan as they exchange heated words (VIDEO)

New Delhi: Legends League Cricket match between Bhilwara Kings and India Capitals saw a heated verbal exchange between Yusuf Pathan and Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson. The incident took place after Johnson dismissed all-rounder Yusuf Pathan after hitting two sixes and a four off the first three balls. While the legends of the gentlemen’s game met at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium, Jodhpur, things turned ugly at the end of the 19th over of the first inning.

The pacer was seen muttering something after dismissing the man-in-form Yusuf. The batter did not take it lightly and went on to give a reply. The matter escalated as both exchanged a few words on the field. They did not stop there, Mitchell Johnson also shoved Pathan to take things one step further. After some sledging and a lot of heat, they were separated by the on-field umpire, while the fielders stood and watched.

Yusuf Pathan was on fire the last night as he went on to score 48 in just 24 balls, including four sixes and three fours. While Johnson was expensive but picked two crucial wickets to end up with 51/2. He dismissed opener Morne van Wyk in the first over and picked Yusuf in the 19th.

In the game, Bhilwara Kings scored 226/5 after William Porterfield scored 59(37), followed by Shane Watson’s firepower 65 off 39. Rajesh Bishnoi finished the inning with 36* off just 11 deliveries. Ross Taylor led Indian Capitals to chase the giant total after hitting 84 off 39 balls. He was aided by Ashley Nurse’s 60* off 28 deliveries. While everyone got hit for runs, Monty Panesar was economical with 26/1 in his four overs.
