The CSK bought Maheesh to play the IPL 2022 during the IPL 2022 mega auction, held in Bengaluru. Many people are sharing photos of Maheesh Theekshana saying CSK should flush him out of the team as it is owned by Tamils. What is the controversy behind Maheesh Theekshana? Maheesh Theekshana is Sri Lankan fast bowler. Considering his bowling strength, CSK bought him for Rs 70 lakh. He comes from Sinhalese background. It is reported that Sinhalese soldiers allegedly committed war crimes against Tamilians in Sri Lanka. The incident happened when the military took action against LTTE in 2009.
