While the focus this summer will be on the five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy Series, the Ashes dates have been released earlier than usual to allow those coming from overseas or interstate to plan their itineraries. The Ashes Series holds an important place in cricket in the Australian summer. Currently, the Ashes trophy is with the Australian cricket team which won the trophy back in 21/22 in their backyard. Last year during the 2023 Ashes, both teams ended the season in a stalemate which led to the retention of the trophy by the test champions.
