New Delhi: As Cristiano Ronaldo moves to Saudi Arabia-based club Al-Nassr, there is good news for football fans. Two stalwarts of football, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, are likely to face each other in a friendly game. According to reports, Messi’s club PSG is considering visiting Saudi Arabia in mid-January to play a friendly against a mixed XI of the best players from Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr.
Lionel Messi will be returning to his club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after winning the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. While PSG plays its games in Ligue 1, the club is giving thought to visiting Saudi Arabia for a friendly game. This has opened the doors for a Mess-Ronaldo clash as Ronaldo left Manchester United and has now joined Al-Nassr.
While Messi won the World Cup and the Golden Ball with seven goals in the tournament, Ronaldo had a year that he and his fans will want to forget. Ronaldo was regularly benched by Man U and the tussle between him and Erik Ten Hag led to Ronaldo leaving the club. He managed to score only one goal in Qatar for Portugal while his team was eliminated against Morocco.
Ronaldo’s fans are believing that 2023 will be different as he has signed a new club till 2025. Reportedly, he will be getting a total income of 847 million Euros. This is the biggest contract in the history of club football.
