New Delhi: One of the biggest questions ahead of the official release of the IPL retention list, was of whether or not MS Dhoni will play in the IPL 2024, and the answer was yet.

For the last three years, as soon as the IPL starts to reach its end stage, the talks of MS Dhoni playing the last season of his career start to catch its pace.

However, the 42-year-old comes up with a cheeky reply during the final post-match presentation of his team, confirming that he will feature in at least one more IPL.

Likewise, during the post-match presentation after CSK’s triumphant run in the 2023 IPL season, MS Dhoni said that he will try to come up and play for one last time, as he owes that much to his fans at least.

CEO Kasi opens up

CSK CEO, Kasi Viswanathan, days after the IPL 2024 auction is done and dusted, has opened up about their decision to retain their skipper for the upcoming season, and what the future holds for the Indian veteran.

Kasi Viswanathan, on Dhoni’s availability for the 2024 season, with his talk with the Indian Express, said that MS is doing well and has started his rehab and gym training, and if everything goes right, the skipper will return to the nets in the next ten days or so.

Kasi Viswanathan, on Dhoni’s IPL future, said that he (MS Dhoni) does not tell us about his future plans, as he is very straightforward, so whatever is going inside his mind, he will tell everyone directly from his mouth, rather than depending on anyone else to get the job done for him.

CSK perfect auction outing

Chennai Super Kings’ management, performed extremely well in the auction, as they focused on getting their bases covered, rather than going for every big name that came up from the auctioneer Mallika Sagar’s microphone.

CSK acquired the services of Rachin Ravindra (1.8 crores), Daryl Mitchell (14 crores) and Mustafizur Rahman (2 crores), in the overseas section, while also getting effective buys of Shardul Thakur (4 crores), Sameer Rizvi (8.4 crores) and Aravalli (20 lakhs), in the Indian player’s section.

With these utility additions along with their already settled side, CSK is going to be favorites to win the titles once again in the IPL 2024 season.
