New Delhi: The hopes of a possible final for RCB and Virat Kohli were all dashed to the ground as last night Rajasthan Royals dished out a 4-wicket defeat to Kohli and Co. Faf du Plessis and his side were riding on a winning momentum which lasted for 6 matches. For RCB, it was a horror show as their batters failed to get a competitive total. In the second innings with the dew factor setting in, it turned out to be a cakewalk for Rajasthan who chased the total with 1 over to spare.

It has been a heartbreaking moment for all the players and fans from around the world. Rajasthan made an impactful comeback in the game against RCB while the latter looked sloppy with the bat. However, RCB’s loss has received major traction on social media as CSK’s fans celebrated Rajasthan’s victory over Bengaluru.

CSK vs RCB- Off-field rivalry

Although RCB’s loss against RR broke the hearts of millions of fans who have been loyal to the franchise for the past 16 years, for the fans of CSK it was a night of celebration and jubilation across the streets. CSK and RCB have been at loggerheads with each other since the inception of the IPL. The match between both sides is even treated as the famousΒ South Indian derby.

This year the rivalry has gone a notch higher after the fans of both sides ended in a brutal scuffle post-match on the 18th of May. This off-field battle between both sides has left a bitter aftertaste amongst all the cricket fans and lovers of the sport. It also shows us that Cricket as a game should stay limited only to the ground and not beyond that.
