CWG 2022: Weightlifter Lovepreet Singh wins bronze, celebrates Sidhu Moose Wala style [WATCH]

Lovepreet who was eyeing gold in the weightlifting tournament missed out on the gold medal, despite making 6 successful attempts

New Delhi: Late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala seems to be not just remembered but also alive in the hearts of his fans, as evident from the undergoing Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham.

On the sixth day of the tournament, weightlifter Lovepreet Singh paid tribute to Moose Wala during his final match event on Wednesday.

Singh participated in the 109 kg category and lifted a total of 355 kg in snatch and ‘clean and jerk’ rounds, clinching the Bronze medal.

Lovepreet who was eyeing gold in the much-speculated weightlifting tournament missed out on the gold medal, despite making 6 successful consecutive attempts.

After one of his successful attempts at the event, Lovepreet celebrated by hitting his hand on his thigh in Moose Wala style. Singh is said to be a big time fan of the late singer.

Lovepreet Singh put up a stunning show in the snatch round and proved successful in all three attempts as he lifted 157 kg, 161 kg and 163 kg respectively. Pictures and clips of Singh paying tribute to Moose Wala has gone viral on social media.

Meanwhile, before Lovepreet, Indian weightlifter Vikas Thakur remebered Moose Wala too by celebrating his medal win in the same style on Tuesday.
