David Warner wants to play villain in Telugu film with Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun in lead (WATCH)

Talking on Gaurav Kapur’s ‘Breakfast With Champions’, Warner mentioned his desire to play a villain in a Telugu film alongside Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, and Rashmika Mandanna.

New Delhi: Australian cricketer David Warner, who enjoys a huge fan following in India, opened up about his love for Bollywood and Tollywood (Telugu Film Industry). Talking on Gaurav Kapur’s ‘Breakfast With Champions’, Warner mentioned his desire to play a villain in a Telugu film alongside Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, and Rashmika Mandanna.

Delhi Capitals’ skipper told that Mahesh, Allu Arjun, and Rashmika are his dream cast and he would love to play the ‘bad guy’ in the film as he believes that is his nature.

On his TikTok and Instagram reels, he said that he did on ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ and ‘Chammak Challo’, and started receiving requests for other songs. He added that his Hyderabadi fans requested ‘Butta Bomma’. David Warner used to play for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL.

Warner told that he grew up with Indian, Chinese, Bangladeshi, and Syrian kids at school which developed the respect for different cultures. He added that Mustafizur Rahman grew up with him in Australia and went on to become an ace pacer for Bangladesh.

The batter also talked about playing pranks on former Australian captain and DC coach Ricky Ponting. He said that if one pranks Ponting, he will have the last laugh as he hid a salmon and eggs in Warner’s shoes which could have even led to him going to jail at the airport.

On the work front, David Warner is playing for Delhi Capitals. The franchise did not have a great season and became the first team to exit IPL 2023. Warner has scored 430 runs in 13 games, playing at an average of 33.07 and a strike rate of 128.74, way below his class. DC will face CSK in their last game of the season on May 20 at 3:30 pm.
