New Delhi: Controversy has always eluded MS Dhoni in two decades of his cricketing career, however, he and the camera spotlight have always been ‘good friends’. On Sunday, Dhoni played a sublime knock of 21runs in 8 balls with a strike rate of more than 200 percent but he garnered more attention for other reason.

While the CSK skipper was sitting in dugout waiting for his batting chance against Delhi Capitals, he was seen ‘eating’ his bat. As the picture landed on social media, it created a flutter.

Meanwhile, his fellow cricketer and one of his former teammates Amit Mishra came forward to explain the reason behind legendary skipper ‘eating’ his bat before going to the stadium. He took to his official Twitter handle and impressed upon MSD’s fans bewildered with his bizarre act.

Though, he scored 21 runs in 8 balls, his outstanding innings comprising 1 four and 2 sixes with a strike rate of 262% left the audience mesmerized.

CSK won the game by a big margin of 91 runs.
