Eric ten Hag gives clarity on Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer from Man United

Manchester United recently signed Brazil’s Antony from Ajax and this led to an increase in the speculations around Ronaldo’s future in the club.

New Delhi: With speculations around Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Manchester United, manager Eric ten Hag makes it clear that he is not. There have been many speculations around his transfer as Ronaldo, reportedly, wanted to leave the club. As the final days of the transfer window are left, people were expecting some news.

Manchester United recently signed Brazil’s Antony from Ajax and this led to an increase in the speculations around Ronaldo’s future in the club. When Eric was asked about Ronaldo’s transfer on the signing of Antony, he emphasised a need for quality players and covering up to maintain consistency. He said, “(It is) clear, of course. We need quality players. You need more to cover all the games to keep the consistency going. That is what we strive for.”

Ronaldo, reportedly, wanted to play the Champions League and thus wanted to transfer from United. As only one day is left in the transfer window and Eric made it clear, all speculations around his transfer are over now. The transfer window will close late on September 1.

After Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka is also set to complete a move to United, ten Hag said more signings are unlikely now. This has surely been a busy transfer window for the Red Devils. Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, and Christian Eriksen joined United in this transfer window.

After losing two games to Brighton and Brentford, United made a comeback against Liverpool by winning the game 2-1. In the fourth game, Bruno Fernandes scored the only goal of the game to beat Southampton 1-0.
