Faf du Plessis and Cameroon Green not in the larger scheme of things for RCB in IPL 2025!

New Delhi: As the long wait for the IPL mega auction, franchises are brainstorming on the perfect XI as they look to retain and sell players in what can turn out to be a busy window. Reports have suggested that the BCCI is unlikely to allow the retention of more than 6 players ahead of the auction, including Right To Match, making it quite tricky for the 10 teams to decide their retention and release list.

In this rigour of planning and chopping, the Royal Challengers Bangalore who had an unreal season last year also have to sort out their Playing XI. The main concern for Bangalore is whether they will continue with their talismanic player- Virat Kohli or look beyond him. Kohli who recently quit T20Is will look to RCB’s main man yet again this year. But with age catching up soon, it is high time for RCB to look beyond Virat.

Likely retentions for RCB:
