Fake accounts flourish in name of viral Pak fan girl, ‘annoyed’ Natasha speaks out (VIDEO)

When she was spotted by the cameras at Sydney Ground, she had mere 1500 followers on Instagram account, however, by the time she went viral, she had about 35,000 followers.

New Delhi: A Pakistani fan girl became an internet sensation soon after the cameras captured her celebrating in the stands during the first semi-final match between Pakistan & New Zealand. She also drew praise from many cricket fans celebrating the victory of Men in Green, however, within hours, she was beset with challenge – dealing with fake accounts created in her name.

The girl, later identified as Natasha was discovered by many curious social media hunters who zeroed in on her Instagram account. When she was spotted by the cameras at Sydney Ground, she had mere 1500 followers on Instagram account, however, by the time she went viral, she had about 35,000 followers.

What followed was barrage of fake social media accounts. These accounts cropped up within hours of her getting viral and it lifted pictures from her Insta handles and used it as own.

An Indian person also latched on to the viral trend and shared her video saying that it was a conspiracy against India.

As everyone was looking for more pictures & videos of her, the fake accounts also got traction and the Pakistani fan was forced to release her statement on the same.

A fake Twitter account was also made in her name & her videos were added to the handle to garner more publicity.

The Twitter account in a day garnered more than 25,000 followers. A fake Instagram account fetched over 1,88,000 followers.

The fan girl is Pakistani by origin, however, she was born & brought up in Australia. She resides in Melbourne & will hopeful will a prized visitor in the final clash between Pakistan & England.

She also took to Twitter to clarify about fake accounts & asked people to refrain from following fabricated accounts. She asked fans & friends to report her about the same.
