FIFA World Cup 2022 Finals: Messi and co lifts the world cup after winning penalties

With seven Ballon d’Or, the 2014 World Cup Golden Ball and several player of the year awards, Messi has won it all but a World Cup trophy is missing from the cabinet.

New Delhi: Argentina has created history and it is a perfect farewell for their captain Lionel Messi. The world witnessed a clash to remember for ages as the game went into penalties after 3-3. With seven Ballon d’Or, the 2014 World Cup Golden Ball and several player of the year awards, Messi, now has won the World Cup trophy also. A superb performance from Martinez, both during before the full-time and in the penalties has anchored the historic win. These two goals from Messi and a stunner from Di Maria will be remembered in the books of football history.

France and Kylian Mbappe tried their best as Mbappe became the first man to score a hat trick in the World Cup finals. Nonetheless, he takes home the Golden Boot with an incredible performance in the tournament.
