New Delhi: The grand opening of much awaited FIFA World Cup 2022 is just around the corner, and interestingly this happens to be the first time the tournament is being held in a Middle Eastern country, i.e. Qatar.
The very first match in the event will take place between Ecuador and the host Qatar on November 20 at 9.30 pm IST. A total of 32 soccer squads are set to compete against each other in the tournament, and one of them will emerge as the World Cup 2022 title holder on December 18.

Viacom-18 has bought the broadcast rights for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in India. Hence, live telecast of all the matches will be done on Sports-18 and Sports-18 HD channels.
