Hardik, Krunal Pandya meet Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence

Hardik shared the pictures from the meet on his social media handle and thanked Amit Shah for his invaluable time.

New Delhi: Cricketers Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya met Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in Delhi. Hardik shared the pictures from the meet on his social media handle and thanked Amit Shah for his invaluable time. The all-rounder also wrote that it was an ‘honour and privilege’ to meet the Home Minister.

Hardik Pandya will be leading India’s T20I side in the upcoming series against Sri Lanka and is expected to replace Rohit Sharma as the full-time T20 skipper. The Pandya brothers and Amit Shah hail from Gujarat and that can be said to be a connection behind the meeting. Meanwhile, their fans started speculating that the cricketers might enter politics.

Earlier on December 29, the Pandya brothers met Kannada film star and ‘KGF’ actor Yash. Hardik shared pictures posing with Yash and Krunal, while he was also spotted sharing a hug with the actor. Sharing the pictures, Hardik wrote, “Kgf 3” in the caption.

Hardik Pandya has been named the T20I captain of India and is likely to succeed Rohit Sharma in white-ball cricket as he has also been named the vice-captain in the ODIs against Sri Lanka. Rohit will be missing the T20I series starting on January 3, due to his thumb injury. India’s star batter Suryakumar Yadav has been named the deputy of Pandya for the series. India will play three T20Is and three ODIs against the Sri Lankan team.

Krunal Pandya last played the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Baroda. He has played 5 ODIs and 19 T20Is for India 254 runs including a fifty in ODIs. He has also picked two wickets in ODIs and 15 in T20Is, including a four-wicket haul.
