Talking to Danny Morrison during the post-match presentation he said that he feels good whenever he takes wickets and the win makes him feel ‘more good’ (sic).

New Delhi: Arshadeep Singh was the hero of the game for Punjab Kings as he broke the stumps twice to defend 16 runs in the last over against Mumbai Indians. He has been India’s ace death bowler and he delivered for PBKS in a crucial situation. After the game, he said that his heart rate does not even go up to 120.

Talking to Danny Morrison during the post-match presentation he said that he feels good whenever he takes wickets and the win makes him feel ‘more good’ (sic). When asked about the rhythm while bowling, Arshdeep said that before IPL, he changed his run-up, which helped him with avoiding no-balls and the rhythm feels good now.

Danny called him ‘Mr. Cool’ and asked about being calm in pressure situations, to which he said that calmness comes naturally to him and asked the anchor to feel his heartbeat and claimed that it is not even close to 120.

While PBKS skipper Sam Curran got the Player of the Match award for his 55 off 29, he said that he should not have been getting the award rather the pacers should have after the way they finished the match. Even the opposing captain Rohit Sharma credited Arshdeep for the Kings’ victory.

In his last two overs, Arshdeep dismissed Suryakumar Yadav to put an end to his knock of 57 off 26 and literally broke the stumps with perfect yorkers to dismiss Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera, to end with the figures of 29/4.

In the game, PBKS got a good start but ended great as Sam Curran scored a cracking fifty and Harpreet Singh played a crucial knock of 41 off 28. Jitesh Sharma gave the required finish with a cameo of 25 off 7 to post 214 on the board. Despite Piyush Chawla picking 2 for 15 and Hrithik Shokeen giving just 24 runs, MI pacers were thrashed for runs.

MI was on the verge of chasing the score as the top order played in the fashion they were expected to. Rohit Sharma was explosive and scored 44 off 27 while Cameron Green played a knock of 67 off 43. It was SKY who came back in touch and showed fireworks at a strike rate of 219. Tim David scored 25* off 13 but with Arshdeep and Nathan Ellis delivering in death, the batter could not finish things for MI as they lost the match by 13 runs.
