Bangladesh’s upcoming tours

Bangladesh has seen a remarkable improvement in their points percentage (PCT) which currently stands at 45.83. The difference between second-placed Australia (62.50 PCT) and Bangladesh is also not much and can be reduced with the upcoming fixtures of Bangladesh.

All that said, the job is much more difficult in reality than it is presented on the paper. Bangladesh is set to face a variety of strong opponents in the form of India, West Indies and South Africa. To have meaningful stakes in the WTC, Bangladesh must replicate their performances in all three upcoming tours.

Bangladesh’s next three tours-

  1. Bangladesh tour of India (September 9th to October 13th 2024): The next assignment for the Tigers is “Mission India”. The recent test victory against Pakistan will give a lot of confidence to the Bangladeshis. However, playing against the best team in the world in their backyard is going to be a different ball game altogether.
  2. Bangladesh tour of West Indies (November 2024): After touring India, Bangladesh is set to play against the Windies in Antigua and Barbuda. Although the Windies have enjoyed limited success in recent times, the Calypso Kings could turn out to be a difficult opponent for the Tigers.
  3. South Africa tour of Bangladesh (Dates TBA): After the Windies tour, the next task for Bangladesh is to face the Proteas in front of their home fans. The dates of the series is yet to be announced.
