New Delhi: Rohit Sharma led from the front as Mumbai Indians scored their first victory of the season by chasing 173 against Delhi Capitals. After the game, the MI skipper was seen video-calling his wife Ritika Sajdeh and receiving special congratulatory comments. Ritika mentioned supporting him from back home while Rohit talked about the pressure of the game.
Ritika said that their daughter Samaira aka ‘Sammy’ will be happy to see Rohit’s Player of the Match trophy to which the batter exclaimed and questioned that she will be happy to see the trophy and not his batting. Rohit also promised to bring that trophy home for his daughter.

As the game was a last-ball thriller, Ritika said that she was screaming at the top of her voice while Rohit said that he has no nails left. He added that he has been playing the game for a long time now and has seen such games in his 15-year IPL career but still, it was a nail-biter for him.
As they said bye to each other, Rohit said that he is missing her and will see her tomorrow, while Ritika said that she loves him and is proud of him.
In the game, DC suffered a batting collapse but Axar Patel came to the rescue with his 54 off 25 and took the score to 172, while Jason Behrendorff and Piyush Chawla picked three wickets each. Chasing the score, Rohit Sharma scored 65 off 45 in the winning cause while in-form Tilak Varma contributed 41 off 29.
Cameron Green and Tim David hit a six each in the 19th over and they had just 5 to chase in the last over. Accurate yorkers by Anrich Nortje took the equation to 2 needed of a ball but Tim David scored a double successfully.
