“I’m really enjoying the new role…”- Suryakumar Yadav enjoys his time captaining the side in the T20 format

New Delhi: India’s newly appointed T20I captain Suryakumar is enjoying his time in the T20 structure with team India. Under his guidance, India recently won the 1st T20I against Bangladesh. Now, the team looks well set to seal the 3-match T20I series again the Tigers with a win in the second T20I.

The Mumbai batter recently opened up on playing under Rohit Sharma and the captaincy tactics he learned from his senior teammate. Yadav has played under Sharma’s captaincy both for India and IPL franchise Mumbai Indians for years.

Speaking about his captaincy role for the side, Surya said in an exclusive interview with Jio Cinema’s “Inside Out” –

I’m really enjoying the new role. Our coach and my teammates have made it easy for me to lead and I have been feeling very positive about my new responsibility. At the same time, I don’t want captaincy to change my character, so I want to continue playing the way I’ve always played, and remain the same both on and off the field…
