Imane Khelif & Liu Yu Ting the gold medal story of two “biological male” boxers in Paris Olympics 2024!

After Imane Khelif, Chinese Taipei’s Liu Yu-Ting has found herself in the middle of the global debate- Whether the boxers are male or female?

New Delhi: After Imane Khelif, Chinese Taipei’s Liu Yu-Ting has found herself in the middle of the global debate- Whether the boxers are male or female?

Although both boxers have found themselves in the middle of some extraordinary development which does not have any relevance to their boxing capabilities, none can take away the fact that both boxers have fought with extraordinary merit to reach the gold medal rounds.

Imane and Liu had both been banned last year by the International Boxing Association. However, the IOA had decided to ban the jurisdiction of the IBA meaning that both the boxers can compete in the Olympics irrespective of the decision of the IBA. According to alleged reports both Imane and Liu possess ‘XY’ chromosomes which disqualifies them from the women’s competitions. However, upon a thorough cross-examination of these outlandish claims, it was found that all reports were only half-baked truths to cancel the candidature of both the boxers from taking part in the competition.

Whether these claims prove to be true or untrue, both these boxers have been under tremendous scrutiny by both governments and authorities back in Paris. Naturally, a win will be a tight slap on all the critics of both these boxers who tend to judge a book by its cover. Interestingly, while Imane and Liu have shared the same experience, the response from both pugilists has been different. While Imane has been a vocal critique of the entire incident, Liu has been more timid nature keeping quiet at the entire incident.
