IND v PAK Asia Cup 2022: Rohit Sharma, Babar Azam chat during training session in Dubai

New Delhi: There is a lot of excitement leading up to the fierce clash between India and Pakistan on August 28. Adding on to the hype, the two captains had a candid chat with each other. In a video posted by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam were seen talking.

In the video, both the captains can be seen talking and sharing a laugh. Though the topic of discussion is not clear, it was probably an off-the-field matter. The video was backed by an instrumental track. Posting the video, PCB wrote, ‘C meets C.’ The players met during a training session in ICC Academy, Dubai. Both the captains have also addressed the press before going into the game. They talked about the mindset and the strategy in the mega clash.

Just before the game, there have been multiple off-the-field videos surfacing. In a video posted by BCCI, the Indian players were seen meeting their Pakistani and Afghan counterparts. Even a picture of Virat Kohli shaking hands with Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam went viral on the internet. In another video, some of the Indian players including Kohli, Yuzvendra Chahal and Rishabh Pant, were seen meeting Shaheen Shah Afridi and asking him about his fitness. Afridi is currently undergoing rehab in Dubai and is ruled out of the tournament due to an injury.

India and Pakistan will face each other in the second game of the Asia Cup 2022. In their last encounter, in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2021, Pakistan won by 10 wickets against India.
