New Delhi: Indian wicketkeeper KS Bharat dropped an easy sitter in the fourth Test between India and Australia in Ahmedabad. While it has been a pitch with low bounce and a busy day for Bharat, Umesh Yadav got an edge off Travis Head which was dropped by him. The dropped catch might cost India in the game as Head has been in good touch in the series.
Umesh Yadav bowled well on the morning of the first day of the Test match and was able to create chances. In the first few overs, the ball stayed low and except for a few, the deliveries did not even carry to the keeper.
In the sixth over, Umesh bowled a ball angling in from good length, and managed to get a thin edge off Head’s bat. The ball carried to Bharat, who dropped a dolly.

PM Narendra Modi and Australian PM Anthony Albanese are also present at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to watch the match, and a Twitter user used it as a meme template for the dropped catch.

Anyone can drop catches, but KS Bharat is not as good a keeper as Wriddhiman Saha.
Since he hasn’t come with the reputation of a flamboyant batsman, people have automatically thought he must be a world class keeper. (And exact opposite for Ishan)

After this drop in the sixth over, the score stood at 23, and seeing the number of extras conceded, the start has been in Australia’s favour. The pitch is keeping the ball low, but once the batter gets set, it can get good to bat on.
