There will be some bad blood running between the sides also, as these were the same two teams who faced each other in the 2023 ODI World Cup finals on Sunday.
However, that does not discredit the fact that there will be a number of players on either side who will be targeting some particular players from each side, and proving their superiority to each other.
Take a look at the top 3 such battles that will excite the fans throughout the series.
1] Ravi Bishnoi (IND) vs Glenn Maxwell (AUS)
Both Maxwell and Bishnoi are considered the X-factors of their respective sides, as they have the capability to change the tide of the match in a span of 6 balls.

Maxwell during the 2023 World Cup has once again proved, why is an important part of the Australian middle order with the ability of both stabilising the innings if his team has lost quick wickets, and going all-out against any kind of bowling attack if quick runs are required.
However, Maxwell has only one weakness, which is wrist spin, and that is where Ravi Bishnoi comes in.
An early bowling change for India as Ravi Bishnoi enters the attack.

Bishnoi is one of the most promising upcoming wrist-spinners, who is very tough to pick up by the batsmen.
It will be interesting to watch who will get the upper hand between the two when they face each other during the series.
2] Yashasvi Jaiswal (IND) vs Jason Behrendorff (AUS)
Both these left-handers like to attack early in the game to put the opposition in a defensive mode.
Yashasvi Jaiswal likes to go full throttle in the first six overs of the gain and always tries to maximize the powerplay by scoring a ton of runs, putting the opposition bowling into defensive mode, to start looking to stop runs flow, instead of going for wickets.

On the other hand, Behrendorff, also likes to attack with the new ball and get some early wickets, to send his opposition into the shell of saving wickets, instead of looking to fast runs, in the first powerplay.

With both the players set to open the attack for their teams on each side, the battle between these two will be a blockbuster.
3] Surya Kumar Yadav (IND) vs Adam Zampa (AUS)
If we are talking about possible battles between the two sides, we cannot leave out the name of the attacking middle-order maestro and the current world number 1 T20i batsman, Surya Kumar Yadav.
Surya Kumar Yadav in the last couple of years has proved that how dangerous of a T20 player he can be. He has played only 53 T20Is so far and already has 1841 runs under his name with the help of 3 centuries.

Unfortunately, Surya has not been able to convert his T20 success into 50 overs format and was the least successful player in the Indian camp during the ICC World Cup 2023, campaign.
He will be eager to prove his worth once again, and with the additional pressure of captaincy on his shoulders, it will be interesting to see, how he fairs in the series.
While Surya is famous for accelerating the middle of the innings, Aussie spinner Adam Zampa is famous for squeezing the life out of the opposition middle order by completely cutting off the run flow during the middle of the innings.

So when Surya comes face-to-face with Zampa, the battle will be mouth-watering for the fans.
