Talking about the moment, Chopra said that her intention was to give sympathy because that was the only thing she could do from the outside. She added that it was an emotional moment for both of them as India has lost many semi-finals like this. Talking about Harmapreet, she said that she has seen her battling injuries and poor health, and she played because it was the semi-finals as Harmanpreet Kaur never backs down.

Another video showed Anjum in a sorrowful state in the commentary box while Australia won the match and Harmanpreet was shedding tears.

Harman was ill before the match day and had to visit the hospital in the morning. While there were speculations about her being a part of playing XI, she decided to lead from the front.

In the game, Kaur scored 52 off 34 which was not enough to lead her team to victory while chasing a massive total of 172. The game was in India’s favour while she was on the crease, but an unfortunate run out while her bat got stuck on the pitch turned the game. Her power-packed inning featured six fours and a massive maximum, all of it while she was unwell.

Jemimah Rodrigues with her 43 off 24 along with Kaur tried to change the game but Darcie Brown was able to pick wickets at the right moment to lead her team into the finals.
