New Delhi: The fifth and final Test match of the series will see India locking horns with England after a hiatus of nine months. The encounter will take place on July 1 at the Edgbaston, Birmingham. The live telecast will be broadcast on the SonyLIV as well as Sony Sports Network.
So far, four matches have been played between India and England in the Test series. India has managed to win two matches and is currently leading the series by 2-1. The rescheduled fifth match will be played today.
In the fourth Test match, India managed to beat England with massive runs of 157. England won the toss and decided to field first. India scored 191 runs on the board, with Virat Kohli and Shardul Thakur scoring 50 runs and 57 runs respectively. Chris Woakes picked up 4 wickets for England.
In the first innings, England scored 290 runs with Ollie Pope and Chris Woakes smashing 81 runs and 50 runs respectively. Umesh Yadav garnered 3 wickets for India.
In the second innings, India scored massive runs of 466 on the board. Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara scored 127 runs and 61 runs respectively. Chris Woakes grabbed 3 wickets for England. England on the other hand failed to score the massive runs and scored only 210 runs with all wickets down.
