IND vs NZ 2nd ODI: Rohit Sharma forgets what to choose after winning toss, netizens begin meme fest (WATCH)

The incident led to New Zealand captain Tom Latham and match referee Javagal Srinath laughing at the toss while Indian players Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar and others stood behind watching all of this.

New Delhi: India is facing the New Zealand challenge in the second ODI of the series. An absurd incident caught everyone’s attention even before the game began in Raipur when Rohit Sharma forgot the decision at the toss. Indian captain stood for some time after winning the toss as he forgot what was decided in the team meeting.

As Sharma won the toss and on being asked by Ravi Shastri what will he choose, he took a long pause and admitted that he forgot. The incident led to New Zealand captain Tom Latham and match referee Javagal Srinath laughing at the toss while Indian players Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar and others stood behind watching all of this.

At the toss, Rohit said that he had ‘plenty of discussions’ before the toss and just forgot what was decided. He added that in the previous game, they wanted to challenge themselves by bowling under lights, but this time he will choose to bowl first. He went on to say that Bracewell batted well in the last game but they bowled well in the end, and they batted first in Hyderabad but they will bowl first this time.

This also led to a meme fest and even Mumbai Indians participated in it.

The incident is being compared to Javed Miandad’s incident when he said that he will go back inside and let the opposition know the decision.

Both teams chose to not change their playing XIs from the last game.  Playing a crucial series in the World Cup year, both India and New Zealand are looking to build their teams for the ICC tournament.
