New Delhi: Defending champions India defeated South Korea to set up a title clash against China in the final of the Hockey Asian Champions Trophy. Earlier, the Chinese team entered the finals of the Asian Champions Trophy on the back of a close-fought win against the Pakistan hockey team.
The match between China and Pakistan was tied and was eventually won on the penalties. Subsequently, the Chinese managed to edge past the Pakistani team (2-0).

The second semifinal was, however, a one-way traffic with the Indian team showing their dominance on the pitch. India won comfortably against an underrated South Korean team 4-1 to qualify for the finals of the Asian Champions Trophy for the 6th time. Uttam Singh (13th minute), Abhishek (19th minute), Jarmanpreet Singh (32nd minute) and Harmanpreet Singh (45th minute) all found their names on the score sheet.
Team India storms into the final with a convincing 4-1 victory over Korea powered by some sharp finishing from Harmanpreet, Jarmanpreet, and Uttam Singh.

For the Koreans, Yang Jihun managed to pull one goal back as a consolation prize. The Koreans will now play against Pakistan for the Bronze medal tomorrow.
