New Delhi: Indian hearts were crushed as the men’s hockey team lost in the final step to hand the Germans a ticket to the finals of the men’s hockey at the Paris Olympics 2024. The German team got their redemption from the Tokyo Olympics where the Indian team defeated the former to win the first bronze medal after a long wait of nearly 40 years.
India played nearly a perfect game which had the right balance of defence and offence against the waves of German attacks. Even without an important player like Amit Rohidas, the Indian team had managed to thwart the German attacks. However, it was a matter of time before the German team managed to break free. Subsequently, the German team managed to score at will against the Indian team due to a lack of a capable first rusher like that of India.

Germany will now take on the Netherlands in the gold medal match while India will battle it out with Spain for the bronze medal match.
Nevertheless, India’s “dhakkad” wrestler managed to perform out of the expectations of everyone and claim the ticket to the finals. In the finals, Phogat is set to clash against the American wrestler Sarah Hildebrandt. Both wrestlers are entering the match after defeating their opponents
