New Delhi: The Indian women’s cricket team, coming back from a humiliating defeat in the ODI series by 3-0 against the Australian women’s team, came back strongly in the T20I series to take the early lead.
The women in blue registered a dominating win against the team from Land Down Under in the first T20I by nine wickets to take the 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
India dominated on all three fronts and never gave the visitors any chance in the match, in the end, going over the line with ease.
Harmanpreet and Healy will now lead their team to face each other in the second T20I match of the three-match series at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.

Aussie women will once again walk into the match with a superior head-to-head record, but the women in blue won’t be thinking about that, as they will have the momentum from the first match behind them.
Last match summary
Indian blowers, who lost their grove during the ODI series after a dominant run in the test match, finally found their groove as they were able to star-studded the Aussie batting lineup on a small total of 141, before showing the same batting prowess they have shown so far in the tour and chased down the target with nine wickets to spare.

On the other hand, the Australian side looked in a dismissal condition, as except for Ellyse Perry and Phoebe Litchfield, no other Aussie batter was able to handle the Indian bowling unit with conviction before they also let them down, which allowed the Indian team to chase down the target with ease.

To register a win in the second match, the Aussies have to play as a collective unit as they played during the ODI series, while the Indian side just needs to replicate what they did in the first T20I and not allow the Aussies any space to breathe.
