INDW vs AUSW, ODI Series: Do or die time for women in blue, Aussies looking to seal the series

INDW vs AUSW, ODI Series: Australian women’s team will be looking to take unassailable lead in the series, with one match to spare.

New Delhi: The Indian women’s team, after registering back-to-back wins in the test series against the England women’s team and the Australian women’s team, were expected to get a high start in the ODI series against the Aussies, but unfortunately, the reality turned out to be very different.

The women in blue, despite displaying a strong batting performance in the first match of the three-match ODI series, fell flat in the bowling as the Aussies ran away with an easy win and an early lead in the series.

The second match of the series will take place at the famous Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday, with the fate of the series hanging in the balance.

The Indian team will have to perform a miracle if they want to better the head-to-head record against the Aussies, as out of the 51 ODI matches played so far between the two sides, Australia has emerged victorious in 41 matches, while the women in blue have only been able to register a win in 10 matches.
