New Delhi: After registering a record win against the England women’s team, the Indian women’s team, is displaying their dominance over the Australian women’s team, in the one-off test match series, starting from Thursday.
India and Australia are locking horns in their only test match scheduled to take place between the two sides, in Australia’s tour of India in Mumbai’s Wankhede stadium.

Day 1 Summary
Australian skipper Alyssa Healy won the toss and opted to bat first, in order to avoid the difficult fourth innings batting scenario.
India took early advantage as they removed Phoebe Litchfield (0) and Ellyse Perry (4), on a small total of just 7.

Beth Mooney (40) and Tahlia McGrath (50), then rebuilt the Aussie innings, before being removed by Pooja Vastrakar and Sneh Rana, respectively.
The skipper, Alyssa Healy (38), then tried to take the momentum forward, but India, with regular wickets, kept the Aussie innings in check.
Kim Garth (28*), kept India at bay for almost eight overs for the final wicket, but Sneh Rana finally got the last important wicket to pack up the whole Australian innings at 219 runs.

Pooja Vastrakar, with four wickets, and Sneh Rana, with three wickets, were the stars of Indian bowling on day 1.
In reply, India started off the innings in an aggressive manner as Shefali Verma (40) and Smriti Mandhana (43*), added 90 runs for the first wicket.
India’s score at the end of day 1, was 98 for 1, and were trailing by 121 runs in the first innings.
