IPL 2022: Jos Buttler’s century helps Rajasthan Royals to enter final after 14 years; Netizens in all praise for batter

After restricting RCB to 157/8, it was quite clear that Buttler’s opening for RR was to take home the game of the night.

New Delhi: Last night was the night of victory for Rajasthan Royals as they entered the final of TATA IPL 2022 after 14 years since their inaugural run under legendary Shane Warne. The star of yesterday’s Qualifier 2 was Jos Buttler who smashed the bowling skills of all the bowlers of Royal Challengers Bangalore by scoring an unbeaten 106 in only 60 deliveries.

After restricting RCB to 157/8, it was quite clear that Buttler’s opening for RR was to take home the game of the night. Not only had he scored a century he smashed six maximums and ten boundaries in his 106*.

After RR’s massive victory with the help of Jos Buttler, RCB’s hope of lifting their maiden trophy under Faf du Plessis was shattered. However, fans all over social media shared their word of appreciation for the batter.

Check out the best ones:

After Virat Kohli and David Warner, Jos Butler is the third player to go past the 800-run mark in a single season of IPL. In 2016, Kohli scored a record-breaking 973 runs in the season while David Warner scored 848 runs to help Sunrisers Hyderabad to lift their maiden title.

This will be Rajasthan Royals first IPL final since 2008 when under the captaincy of Shane Warne the team won the title. On Sunday, Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals will face Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans in the TATA IPL 2020 final.
