IPL 2022, Qualifier 2: In Royal Vs Royal, Parag & Harsha’s ‘fight’ is what fans are looking forward to

In the second Qualifier match of Indian Premiere League (IPL), it’s the penultimate face-off before the grand finale.

New Delhi: In the second Qualifier match of Indian Premiere League (IPL), it’s the penultimate face-off before the grand finale. Rajasthan Royals (RR) will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for booking a berth in the IPL finale. This is second chance for RR for making its bid to the next round, after they got eliminated by Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Qualifier 1.

Who will face GT in the final – Sanju Samson-led RR or Faf du Plessis RCB? All eyes will be on today’s high-voltage match but what has also gripped attention of many cricket lovers is the ‘animosity’ between RR’s Riyan Parag and RCB’s Harshal Patel and how it pans out in today’s match.

Why Patel Vs Parag is talking point?

The matter originated a month ago during the customary meeting of team, when RCB’s Harshal Patel declined to greet & shake hands with RR’s Riyan Parag.

The customary meeting happens after the end of match. In that face-off, Parag hit 3 fours and 4 sixes and finished RR innings in style. He hit off 18 runs in Harshal Patel’s last over. With Parag hitting long boundaries, the duo got engaged in heated exchange. It was only after intervention by fellow members that the tempers were brought down.

Parag faced ire for ‘rough attitude’ on field

In the first qualifier match, RR player Parag Aggarwal faced a lot of wrath from netizens after his video went viral. Many advised the 20-year-old cricketer to not thrown tantrums on field and keep his attitude in check.

During the Qualifier 1 match, he got run out with R Ashwin at the other end. Inspite of accepting mistake & returning to pavilion, he gave a death scare. It was that attitude that drew him ire from cricket fans as well as netizens.
