IPL 2022: Ravindra Jadeja appointed as the new CSK captain. This development comes after MS Dhoni decided to hand over the leadership of Chennai Super Kings and picked Ravindra Jadeja to lead the team.
Jadeja, who has been an integral part of Chennai Super Kings since 2012, will only be the third player to lead CSK. Dhoni will continue to represent Chennai Super Kings this season and beyond.
MS Dhoni, had led Chennai Super Kings since the first season of the IPL. While, Ravindra Jadeja is associated with CSK since 2012.
But he has played for the different franchise only in 2016 and 2017 when CSK were suspended.
The official announcement was made by CSK on its Twitter handle. His decision of stepping down as CSK Captain has left his fans in shock.

Former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar had said that Ravindra Jadeja will be ready to take captaincy of CSK if MS Dhoni decides to take a game or two off in the upcoming IPL.
