New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings registered a 27-run victory over Delhi Capitals and skipper MS Dhoni showed his power-hitting prowess as he finished the inning with a couple of sixes. While there was an ocean of Mahi’s fans lauding his maximums, there was a special fan cheering for him at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Dhoni’s daughter Ziva came to watch the game with her mother Sakshi and was spotted clapping and cheering as his father hit those sixes. MS Dhoni scored 20 off 9 balls, hitting a four and two sixes and Ziva lauded her father for his explosive cameo.

After the game, Dhoni said that his role in the team is to play a few deliveries and added that he has asked his teammates to not make him run a lot. He added that he is practicing to hit a few deliveries and was happy to contribute to the team.
In the game, Ruturaj Gaikwad gave a fine start to CSK with his 24 off 18 Shivam Dube went big in the middle overs with his 25 off 12, hitting three sixes. While Ambati Rayudu and Ravindra Jadeja contributed 23 and 21 respectively, it was MSD who took his team to 167. Mitchell Marsh picked three crucial wickets including Dube, Jadeja, and Dhoni while Axar Patel got both the openers.
Deepak Chahar got DC’s openers with his slower ones and pushed them to 20/2. While Rilee Roussow scored 35(37) and Axar Patel and Lalit Yadav hit 21 off 12 and 12 off 5 respectively, they were restricted to 140/8. On a slow Chepauk pitch, Matheesha Pathirana picked three wickets while Jadeja got one.
