New Delhi: The Indian Premiere League (IPL) 2023 has been finally won by Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets, smashing the defending champions Gujarat Titans. MS Dhoni came to the limelight in the IPL 2023 final match with his incredible stumping at the Narendra Modi stadium. He took the most challenging player of GT, Shubhman Gill, off the field in just 0.12 seconds.
Gill made an effort to drive a Ravindra Jadeja delivery in the eighth over of GT’s innings. But the ball quickly twisted away from his bat’s edge. Gill’s rear foot accidentally stepped outside the crease during this motion, and Dhoni produced a magnificent stumping in just 0.1 seconds, returning the in-form batter to the bench.

Shubman initially was in great form by smashing seven fours, scoring 39 runs in just 19 balls. With his performance, GT seemed to steal the show. However, Dhoni came with his superb wicket keeping skills and made Gill return to the dressing room.
Dhoni’s outstanding work behind the stumps was widely praised by the cricket community on social media. The 41-year-old wicketkeeper was complimented for his exceptional abilities, underscoring his role in CSK’s IPL triumph. Veteran cricket player Virendra Sehwag also made a praising remark about Dhoni by tweeting, “Anything can be changed, even bank notes can be changed, but one cannot change MS Dhoni behind the stumps. As fast as ever!”
