Gill stepped out, showed class and even hit a 106-metre six to score 129 off 60 as he targeted MI's ace bowlers. Skipper Hardik Pandya hit 28* off 13 to finish the inning for GT. After a bit of slower start, Gill changed the gears and took the control of the game. He hit 10 sixes and 7 fours in his knock and with Wriddhiman Saha, he laid an opening stand of 54 runs.
