Hardik Pandya, who has gained a lot of appreciation on the field for leading GT to an IPL victory last season and leading India in several T20Is, also won many hearts off-the-field. Fans poured in comments and lauded the all-rounder for his gesture showing communal harmony. Netizens called it the ‘beauty of India’ as people from different religions and faith celebrate together.

As they played the match in Delhi, Rashid Khan also visited the Nizamuddin Dargah this morning. The spinner offered ‘Fajar’ prayers at the dargah at about 6 am in the morning.

In the game, Gujarat Titans restricted Delhi Capitals to 162/8 as Mohammed Shami and Alzarri Joseph used the conditions to swing and seam the ball and dismantled the top order. Shami was quick to strike while David Warner and Sarfaraz Khan laid a struggling partnership before Joseph bowled the skipper for 37(32). Joseph struck on the next delivery to dismiss Rilee Rossouw.

While Anrick Nortje dismissed Wriddhiman Saha and Shubaman Gill after their attack, Sai Sudharsan was clinical in chasing the score. He scored 62* off 48 along with Vijay Shankar scoring 29 and David Miller hitting 31* off 16 to win the game comfortably.
