New Delhi: Considered as one of the all-time greats of international cricket, Shane Warne breathed his last on March 4. The legendary player is suspected to have died due to a heart attack at the age of 52.

Fox News issued a brief statement confirming the demise of the spinner in Thailand of a suspected heart attack. “Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” the statement read. “The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”

Warne was named as one of Wisden’s Five Cricketers of the Century, who procured 708 Tests wickets in a 15-year-old career for Australia between 1992 and 2007 and was also a World Cup winner in 1999. He was regarded as the greatest spinner to play the sport has played 145 Tests in this lifetime.
