Lionel Messi eat, sleeps, travels with FIFA World Cup trophy after historic victory

New Delhi: After winning the FIFA World Cup 2022, Argentinian captain Lionel Messi can be seen posing with the trophy while eating, sleeping and travelling. Having achieved this historic feat, Messi is not ready to leave the World Cup trophy and is having the time of his life with it. He shared a post with pictures of the trophy at his home.
In the pictures, Messi can be seen sleeping with the trophy on his bead and in one, he is sipping something with his arms still wrapped around the trophy. It took him years and several losses to finally win it, and he is taking utmost care of it.

While coming back to his nation, he shared a post on social media, where he can be seen posing with the trophy in the aeroplane. His Instagram feed is currently filled with his pictures with the trophy and clips from the Qatar World Cup as well as his journey in FIFA World Cups.

Recently, he shared some pictures of the Argentinian team lifting the trophy in Qatar and that became the most-liked post on Instagram with over 68 million likes as of now. He left behind his arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo, who posted the picture of a Louis Vuitton pre-World Cup shoot where Ronaldo and Messi can be seen playing chess.

In the finals against France, Messi scored two goals which aided Argentina’s victory. He also stood second in terms of most goals scored in the tournament, just behind Kylian Mbappe, who scored a hattrick in the finals. Apart from the World Cup trophy, Messi also took home the Golden Ball for being the ‘Player of the Tournament’.
