Lotus 365: Despite ban, gaming website flaunts full-page ads; netizens want betting racket busted

According to some reports, the company is still functional as they have changed their domain from lotus365.com to lotus365.in.

New Delhi: Lotus 365 is one of the oldest gaming companies in India which was launched in 2016. As the Indian government took an action on betting and gambling apps with Chinese affiliation, Lotus 365 was also banned last month. However, their operations and advertisements even after a ban has created confusion among the masses.

In February 2023, the government banned 138 apps including Betway, Parimatch and 1xBet. According to some reports, the company is still functional as they have changed its domain from lotus365.com to lotus365.in. However, currently, their website shows a 404 error due to a server issue.

The discourse around the betting company has confused netizens and actors including Nawazuddin Siddique and Urvashi Rautela are being pointed out for promoting it. Netizens raised a question about how is the company allowed to promote its websites and apps in newspapers. Just before IPL 2023 was about to begin, front-page ads of Lotus365 surfaced in the newspapers and got the intermediary to trend on Twitter.

The emergence of these advertisements has again sparked a debate on whether online gambling and betting should be legal in the country or not. There is a section on people on the internet that clearly stands against it.

Lotus365 claims to give services in cricket, football, teenpatti, roulette, poker and other games. While people are confused about its legitimacy, there is a fear of putting real money into their services and many are refraining from doing so.

Note: We do not promote any sort of gambling or betting. These games involve financial risk and can be addictive.
