‘Main kya karu? Job chod du?’: Ashwin tweets as Cheteshwar Pujara flaunts his leg-break skills on day 5

Sharing a reaction to his bowling, off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin used a famous line by comedian Abhishek Upamanyu, which is now a meme template.

New Delhi: Cheteshwar Pujara bowled an over in the game before India and Australia agreed to a draw on day 5 of the fourth Test in Ahmedabad. Sharing a reaction to his bowling, off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin used a famous line by comedian Abhishek Upamanyu, which is now a meme template. Twitter also witnessed hilarious banter between the two.

Ashwin shared a picture of Pujara bowling and wrote, “Main kya karu? Job chod du?” (What should I do? Leave my job?). Replying to it, Pujara reminded him of batting at number 3 in his place in the Nagpur Test.  Ashwin replied to Pujara and appreciated his intent while asking how was Pujara’s bowling a payback to his batting.

While the Test was headed to a draw, Rohit Sharma handed the ball to Pujara and Shubman Gill. Pujara was last seen bowling in County cricket while it was the first international and only the 10th First-class over for Shubman Gill.

While defending against Gill, Marnus Labuchagne also shared a smile and with the batters turning bowlers, the game ended on a light note.

After India posted 571, on day 5, Travis Head missed on a century as he was dismissed by a rare spinning delivery by Axar Patel on 90 off 163. Marnus Labuschagne played a long and steady knock of 63* off 213. Smith and Labuschagne just defended with a draw on their minds.

With New Zealand beating Sri Lanka in a nail-biting day 5 game, India qualified for the WTC finals and will play Australia at The Oval from June 7 onwards.

Virat Kohli was awarded the Player of the Match for his knock of 186 off 364. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were given the joint Player of the Series award.
