
New Delhi: Soccer enthusiasts can now enter Qatar even without holding tickets from December 2 onwards following the group stage clashes in the forthcoming FIFA WC 2022, informed state’s interior ministry.
Jabr Hammoud Jabr al-Nuaimi, interior ministry spokesperson told the media on Thursday that individuals who do not have a ticket will be able to travel to the Middle Eastern country post the conclusion of group stage matches commencing from December 2 onwards.
Travellers who wish to visit the nation without a ticket will need to apply for a Hayya card, which will work as an entry pass to get into the stadiums wherein the much-speculated World Cup clashes are set to take place. Fans can apply for the cards online through the official website of FIFA WC Qatar 2022 or ‘Hayya to Qatar 22’ app.

We welcome people across the globe in order to make the biggest football event successful, while the administration will ensure the safety of the fans, al-Nuaim added. He further told that the Hayya card will also provide one with free access to transportation services in the city including the metro and buses.
Those possessing a Hayya card will be able to stay in the country till January 23 next year.
