‘Our privacy was hurt…’: Shaheen Afridi infuriates as wedding pictures leak on internet

New Delhi: Pakistan’s ace pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi married ex-captain Shahid Afridi’s daughter Ansha. However, before the couple shared the official wedding pictures, the pictures from their special day were leaked on the internet. Shaheen took to Twitter to express their disappointment as their privacy was breached.

Sharing the tweet, the pacer wrote it is disappointing that even after their ‘repeated requests’, people shared the pictures from their wedding and hurt their privacy. He requested the netizens to ‘coordinate’ and not spoil their ‘memorable day’.

It’s very disappointing that despite many and repeated requests, our privacy was hurt and people kept on sharing it further without any guilt.

I would like to humbly request everyone again to kindly coordinate with us and not try to spoil our memorable big day.

While the couple was tieing the knot, the pictures were leaked and went viral on social media. It was taken as a serious breach of privacy by the couple and their families.

The couple got engaged last year and tied the knot in 2023. The wedding ceremony took place in Karachi and was graced by the presence of many Pakistani cricketers, including Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman and Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Shaheen shared the official wedding pictures on February 4 and prayed that they always remain like a ‘garment to each other’. He also thanked the guests and fans for their wishes.

Shahid Afridi also shared the official pictures and penned a heartfelt note for his daughter. He described a daughter as the ‘most beautiful flower’ of a parent’s garden as it blossoms with blessings. He also wrote about laughing and dreaming with her daughter and loving her. The former cricketer also made the official announcement of the completion of the couple’s wedding.
