New Delhi: A shameful incident once again overtook the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 during the match between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi. A video surfaced on the internet on Monday which showed Lahore Qalandars pacer Haris Rauf slapping his teammate Kamran Ghulam for dropping a catch at one vital moment.
The incident happen after Rauf was successful in knocking out Peshawar Zalmi’s Mohammad Haris in the second over of the innings and while celebrating the wicket slapped his teammate Ghulam. Earlier, in the same over, Ghulam dropped a catch of Hazratullah Zazai and Rauf looked frustrated and disappointed with the fielder.

Although Ghulam did not create any scene on the obscene behaviour of Rauf and put on a brave and smiling face, the latter’s expression looked unfriendly. Besides, the pacer eventually faced the wrath of the fans for his outrageous behaviour.
Peshawar Zalmi defeated Lahore Qalandars in the first super over of the Pakistan Super League on Monday. Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi helped Lahore Qalandars by scoring 23 off the last over, to acquire a targeted score.
In the super over, Peshawar captain Wahab Riaz scored only five runs in the prescribed over while Shoaib Malik alone won the game by hitting two consecutive boundaries off Afridi’s first two balls. Though both the teams finished at 12 points, Lahore ended up in the second spot due to a better run rate.
Lahore will be locking horns with Multan Sultans on Wednesday for qualifying for the finals. Peshawar will be turning against Islamabad United on Thursday in an eliminator. The winner from the Multan-Lahore match will have another chance to qualify for the final as it will play a game with the winner of the eliminator.
