New Delhi: The Men in Green will look to build on their historic win in the ODI series in Australia as they take on Zimbabwe in the 1st ODI at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. The Men in Green’s recent 2-1 series victory Down Under which was their first in 22 years has injected fresh confidence into their 50-over campaign.
However, Zimbabwe poses a unique challenge especially with the return of experienced campaigner Sean Williams to their ODI lineup after an eight-month absence. Furthermore, the Zimbabweans have assembled a strong under the guidance of Craig Ervine. The hosts’ recent dominant performance in the T20 World Cup qualifiers which was highlighted by captain Sikandar Raza’s explosive form won’t be pushovers.
