New Delhi: USA bowler Juan Theron has accused Pakistani star Harris Rauf of ball tempering following the USA Vs Pakistan clash at the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 at the Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas, US.

During the underway T20 World Cup, the USA faced Pakistan on June 6th, Thursday. Out of the unexpected, underdogs USA defeated the favorites Pakistan and scripted history, witnessing a dream come true moment for the debutant USA.

Meanwhile,  for Pakistan, the defeat was no less than a nightmare. It was the first time when both teams met on the international stage and against all the odds, it was the USA who clinched a famous victory, that too by taking the game to the last ball of a thrilling Super Over!

Pak Pacer Haris Rauf accused of Ball Tempering

The Pakistan team has been in the headlines since their defeat at Dallas. The men in green have been facing backlash from fans and experts for their devastating performance against the inexperienced USA.

Amidst this, adding more pain to the Pakistani cricketer’s misery, South African cricketer Juan Theron has now accused massive allegations against the Pakistani fast bowler Harris Rauf.

Present USA, and former South African international cricketer Rusty Theron claimed that the Pakistani players were constantly scratching the newly changed ball during the match. However, no official complaint has been filed by the USA team as of now.

Harris Rauf’s Lukewarm performance against USA

The match was played in Dallas, Pakistan being the favorites but against all odds USA defeated Pakistan in the Super Over. An exceptional performance from the hosts.

Harris Rauf conceded 37 expensive runs in 4 overs. He also gave 11 runs in the last three deliveries, helping the US team to take the game into the super-over where they eventually won the match by defeating Pakistan by a margin of 5 runs.
